What's black with a A?

There were 52
of clubs and hearts
of spades and diamonds
and a flush of red and black.

A pack it is called
but not the hungry wolves.
A deck it is known
but no sailors stand above.

And among there is one
that stands above the rest
neither king nor queen
but ace the only supreme.

It is simple yet glamour
the only A in the parlour
with a large spade in the middle
hence the ace of spades.
